Our goal

We want everyone to be able to browse and buy from Pixel Wholesale & Liquidation, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, a screen magnifier or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard most U.S. businesses work to.

What we have done

• Keyboard: every page works with a keyboard alone, with a clear focus outline and a “Skip to content” link at the top.
• Screen readers: pages use headings, landmarks and labels, so you can move around and know what each button does. Menus, the cart and search say when they open and close.
• Reading: text and buttons are checked against WCAG color-contrast levels, and the layout adapts to phones and to zooming in.
• Products: every item states its condition in words (new, open box, refurbished or pre-owned), not only with a color or an icon, and product photos carry the item’s name.
• Tapping: buttons and links are large enough to tap on a phone.
• Motion: animation is reduced when your device is set to reduce motion.
• Forms: if something is missing at checkout or in the message form, the problem is explained next to the field and read out by screen readers.

Known limits

Some parts of the store come from other companies, and a few things we are still improving:

• Checkout and payment are run by Shopify Checkout, and wallets such as Shop Pay, PayPal and Google Pay by their providers. Each publishes its own accessibility information.
• Links that leave this site, such as our eBay stores, Facebook and Google Maps, open pages we do not control.
• Product details come from our listings. An older listing may show a detail, such as a model number or a label, only in a photo. If anything is unclear, ask us and we will read it to you or check the item in person.
• The map on the home page is a Google Maps embed. Our address and a directions link are always written out next to it.

If the site is hard to use for any reason, call or text 224-772-4029. We will describe any item, answer questions and place your order for you. Pickup is at 1840 Industrial Dr, Suite 220, Libertyville, Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM and Sunday 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM; tell us before you come if you need anything to make your visit easier.

How we check

Salty Web Co builds and checks this site with automated testing (axe) and by using every page with a keyboard alone, and checks again when pages change. We review this statement at least once a year; the date at the top shows the latest review.
